My First Tacho Hour

In June Of 2006 at the Age of 19 it was set in my mind, I had been obsessing over the thought since childhood, It had Air Raided
all of my Dreams. and it was close coming to Reality, I had rang up and organized my First Flying lesson. Prior To my First Ever lesson,
me and A good friend of mine John, went up to Kangaroo Island for a Fly into Americian River. 10 odd planes flew in that day. Me and John in his Piper Cherokee. This was only the begining of what was to come for me in Flying here in South Australia.

So it was to be, my first Tacho hour was, 0.9 infact. Learning the full effectiveness of the Evektor Sportstar controls was my first lesson. Just me and the Instructor Steve buzzing around sellicks beach in a 100hp Ultralight Evektor Sportstar, and might I say it was the best. The sportstar is a very responsive Aeroplane. Very smooth flying, untill you hit those thermals. Learning how to fly the plane
with “effectiveness of controls” in my mind was second nature. I have always understood how to fly an Aeroplane. And I was told
I did very well that day.
